It's that time of year again. The time where the lazy days of carefree drift off into our dreams and the bright busy days of school is on our to do lists. Where the smell of paper, binders, crayons, and new clothes are hanging like the smells of the beach that we just left, maybe a few weeks ago.
I sat down last night to fill in this month's planner with all of the activities that would take over the lazy days that I have become accustomed too. Days that will welcome us that are full of homework, dance class, youth group, and the occasional, "Mom, I don't want to go to school today!" I myself must admit that, while I have missed the sounds of the voices of the sweet kiddos that I will call mine for a year, I will miss the days of swimming lazily in the pool, our impromptu get-togethers, and the warm days of just sleeping in.
As we slowly hold onto these last days of summer, I open my eyes and heart to the wonderful, exciting adventure that is awaiting us, to God's amazing grace, and my summer girl opens her eyes in anticipation to 3rd grade
